Gus Hansen Plays Pot Limit Omaha

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Gus Hansen Full Tilt Poker.net ProGus Hansen sat down at a $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi game at Full Tilt Poker. Not long after sitting down (I am pretty sure it was the first hand at the table) playing with 16k against FinddaGrind who also had 16k had a huge first hand. They both ended up all-in after the river was dealt. Gus Hansen lost the hand and FinddaGrind raked in a pot worth $31,999.50 with two pair.

The first hand did not phase Gus Hansen as he quickly bought in for another 16k. Seven hands later he met the same fate as he went all in against FinddaGrind who had a six high straight. Gus Hansen only had a pair of eights and lost the pot worth $27,599.50.

polit decided he would play at the table with $12,455.50 and soon got a lion’s share of Gus Hansen’s third 16k buy-in. He beat Gus Hansen’s Flush with a higher flush and raked in a pot of $25,110.

Doyle Brunson “TexDolly” Plays Limit Omaha H/L

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

I was checking out the Limit Omaha H/L area of full tilt poker and a screenname name caught my eye “TexDolly” I know that Doyle Brunson is nicknamed the Texas Dolly. So I googled “TexDolly” and sure enough Doyle Brunson uses the name when playing at Full Tilt Poker.

The stakes were $1000/$2000 with texdolly ($13,492) against Steel Bunny ($25,482.50), CheeseHead14 ($64,489.50) and jidenok ($36,497). Well I wasn’t able to watch Doyle Brunson for long as he lost his money in three consecutive hands. He then quickly left the table. I wasn’t able to see what Doyle Brunson had because he mucked his hands after losing them to a full house, straight, flush and then another straight! Talk about some tough hands to beat…

Mike Matusow ended up with $16,074… close to doubling up his stack. Nice to see Matusow doing well because I haven’t seen him play for awhile so hopefully if he does good this poker session he will be logging more regularly at Full Tilt Poker.

Roland de Wolfe bought in with $8k and it lasted 8 hands before it was gone talk about a lousy investment.  Gus Hansen did the exact opposite by going from $6,760 all the way to $93,722 in 11 hands. Wow! Now that is the kind of investment I would like to be a part of.

Thomas Wahlroos Makes $60k in 5 minutes

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Thomas Wahlroos ($30,368)  played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi at Full Tilt Poker against  Ziigmund ($39,400), BlueWolff ($29,236),  jidenok ($23,673),  FinddaGrind ($112,833.50) and MrSmokey1 ($19,391).

Thomas Wahlroos was on fire when I watched him winning two large pots against Ziigmund. He won $76k when his three of a kind kings beat Ziigmund’s three of a kind jacks! He then won another $23k when his queen high flush beat Ziigmund’s jack high flush! Ziigmund was I am sure fuming at this point and kept buying in for the standard $40k.  Thomas Wahlroos took the money and ran… When I started watching he had a little over $30k and he left with ($91,518). I only watched him for a little over 5 mins…Talk about a payday!
