Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

AllenCunningham ($100,519.75), John DAgostino ($19,184), LoLiNa ($44,181.75), Eli Elezra ($54,751.75), OMGClayAiken ($10,000) and durrrr ($12,636.50) played $1000/$2000 HORSE with an ante of $200 at the Elk 6 max table.

One of the first hands I watched was between Durrrr and Allen Cunningham. They were playing Omaha Hi/Lo and Allen Cunningham had three of a kind jacks against Durrrr’s seven high straight. The pot was worth $58,809.50. Allen Cunningham did win the side pot worth $4,000 but definitely took a hit to his overall chip stack.

Another large hand later in the game was between Allen Cunningham and Eli Elezra. They were playing Limit Stud Hi. Eli Elezra was doing most of the raising through out the hand until the last betting round when Allen Cunningham re-raised twice. When they finally showed their cards Allen Cunnignham had a eight high straight and Eli Elezra mucked losing the pot worth $35,497.

After about 100 hands the chip totals looked like:

AllenCunningham ($78,607.25)
LoLiNa ($20,000)
Eli Elezra ($27,605.25)
Patrik Antonius ($23,193.50)

John Juanda, Durrrr and Antonius Play Pot Limit Omaha

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

John Juanda ($8,000), durrrr ($94,217.50) and Patrik Antonius ($154,659) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi. Also at the table was  ICallSoWhat ($73,695), IAmSoSo ($14,599) and later at the table  was OnTheRise and Aeron73.

The table was a good one to watch with the average pot over $10k and 46% Plr/Flp and 65 hands per hour. Most of the large hands were in the 20k range until a monster hand between ICallSoWhat and durrrr. The board was [4d Js 7c Kh 6h] giving Durrrr a straight on the river with a hand of [8s 9d Jd 5d] against ICallSoWhat’s two pair, Jacks and Sevens (which he made on the flop). Durrrr raked in the monster pot worth $123,174!

At the end of about 75 hands here was the chip count:

Jennifer Harman Plays $200/$400 Limit Omaha H/L

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

Jennifer Harman ($11,595.50) played $200/$400 Limit Omaha H/L against stevesbets ($11,139), Glazed ($16,644.50), matchpoint20 ($10,047) and Eats Fig ($8,647.50). They played at the table Vero (6 max) at Full Tilt.com.

I haven’t seen Jennifer Harman at the poker tables lately so it was great to see her sitting down at the table. She was also playing at a $100/$200 Limit Omaha H/L table but I decided I would just write about her poker play at the Vero table because of the higher stakes.

After watching for a little over 50 hands here is the chip count:

stevesbets ($13,100)
Glazed ($17,076)
Robert Mizrachi ($11,189)
Jennifer Harman ($14,199)
bixiu ($8,000)

Gus Hansen, David Benyamine and Patrik Antonius Play HORSE

Monday, June 9th, 2008

Gus Hansen ($21,400), David Benyamine ($17,094) and  Patrik Antonius ($35,419) played $1000/$2000 HORSE at the ELK (6 max) table at FullTiltPoker.net.

With three players at the table the action was flying. There was lots of pre-flop betting and some large 3 way pots. One of the hands that was interesting was a Limit Stud H/L hand that was constantly raised then re-raised until the pot ended up being $57,600.  It was 3 way action but was a two way split with Benyamine winning the Low with a pair of 8’s while Patrik Antonius took the high with a flush. This meant that both players basically split Gus Hansens  (he mucked at the end) chips.

Well I wasn’t able to watch for too long because 45 hands after sitting down to watch Hansen and Antonius sat out. At that point the chip counts were:

David Benyamine ($32,682)
Patrik Antonius ($61,212)
Gus Hansen ($0), is sitting out

Gus Hansen Plays 1000/2000 Horse at Full Tilt.com

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Gus Hansen ($16,838.25) played $1000/$2000 HORSE against SteveSung ($50,479.75), Brian Hastings ($86,200), David Benyamine ($65,379.50), Nick Schulman ($40,000) and Okada Roll ($53,088.50). The full tilt.com table was ELK (6 max) with an ante of $200.

It was a pretty fun table to watching with most of the hands in the high teens.  One of the first hands I watched was a hand between Nick Schulman and Gus Hansen. Schulman won the hand with two pairs (eights and sevens) against Gus Hansens pair of threes. The hand was worth $37,000.

Later on their was another hand between Nick Schulman and Gus Hansen. Nick Schulman ended up winning again with three of a kind eights. Gus Hansen mucked his cards but lost the $22,997 pot.

After about 60 hands the chip counts were:

  • SteveSung ($61,503.25)

Phil Ivey and David Benyamine Play at the Ivey Glue Factory

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Phil Ivey ($180,572.15) played against David Benyamine ($131,393.85) in the $2000/$4000 HORSE table at Full Tilt.com known as the Ivey Glue Factory.  I haven’t seen Ivey sit down at one of his poker tables for awhile so I was happy to see some high stakes action.

They didn’t disappoint and the first hand I watched was worth $36,599.50. Phil Ivey won the hand with a 7 high straight. David Benyamine mucked his hand so unable to know what Ivey was up against.

There were a lot of $30k+ hands but not much above that. At the end of every hand the loser mucked so I am not able to really talk about the hands because its pointless not knowing what the player had that lost. But definitely some good poker action, regardless.

I was able to watch 50 hands before Phil Ivey sat out, at that point the chip count was:

  • Phil Ivey ($159,767.65)
  • David Benyamine ($152,189.35)

Gus Hansen, David Benyamine Play Pot Limit Omaha Hi

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

Gus Hansen ($18,794) and David Benyamine ($71,641.50) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi against LoLiNa ($10,198), Urindanger ($37,286), the guru 11 ($83,321), Cole South ($92,092). They played at the Full Tilt.com table “Brookview” a 6 max table.

The first full hand that I watched was a good one with LoLina winning a $20,794 pot. Urindanger got a 10 on the river giving him two pair but to no avail. LoLina was dealt pocket aces but had no need for them once the board showed 3, 6, 4 giving her a straight.

The game was a fun one to watch with a good amount of high stakes hands with the very next hand a $39k pot that Gus Hansen won. It got much more exciting when after two hands Cole South went all-in for $76k in addition to the $7k he already had in the pot. It was called by David Benyamine. The hand ended up being worth $132,680 with Benyamine winning with full house, Queens full of Twos against Cole South’s full house, Twos full of Fours.

The table basically broke up after about 35 hands…the chip totals were:

  • David Benyamine ($102,374)
  • LoLiNa ($14,892)
  • Gus Hansen ($65,267)
  • Urindanger ($41,791)

John Juanda and Erick Lindgren Play Omaha Hi

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

John Juanda ($17,191) and Erick Lindgren ($8,000) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi at Full Tilt.com. Also playing at the table was  Cogaz ($20,997), ICallSoWhat ($49,695), applsgirl ($7,397) and present ($56,282).

A large hand between Erik Lindgren, applsgirl and present was played. The big winner of the hand was applsgirl who won $20,585 with three of a kind aces. Erik Lindgren took the side pot worth $7,209 against present with Three of a king queens. Present was the big loser of the hand with two pair.

A couple hands later Erick Lindgren lost to ICallSoWhat after a flop of [7h Tc 2d 5s Jd] and ICallSoWhat had three of a kind jacks.  Lindgren never showed his hand and mucked giving the pot worth $22,600 to ICallSoWhat.

The largest hand at the table (when I was watching) was a hand between Cogaz and applsgirl. Applsgirl won the hand with a two pair (kings and eights) against the two pair that cogaz held (queens and eights).  The board had two 8’s and the players each held their other pockets (kings/queens). The hand was won by applsgirl and she took down the pot worth $36,988.

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Mike Matusow ($40,326) played $1000/$2000 HORSE against Markus Golser ($112,759.50), David Benyamine ($37,059.80) and howisitfeellike ($37,755.50), the game was played at the “Hatteras” table . Later in the game howisitfeellike and confused 1 here sat down and played.

There were a bunch of $20k+ plus hands and it was a pretty good high stakes HORSE game. One of the larger hands that was played was a hand between Benyamine and Markus Golser. David Benyamine ended up winning the $28,997 pot with three of a kind 2’s against a mucked Markus Golser hand.

Another large hand that Benyamine won was a hand with Matusow and Golser. Both of them lost with Golser mucking after 3rd street and Matusow 7th street. Benyamine raked the large pot worth $32,300.

Mike Matusow Plays HORSE

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Mike Matusow ($76,759.25) played $500/$1000 HORSE at the Pineview table at Full Tilt.com. Other players are the table were Seat 1: EazyPeazy ($16,961.50), SteveSung ($21,579.50), Mark Weitzman ($62,681.75), Hoss_TBF ($23,837.40), cmynuts ($11,397), Lacey Duvalle ($10,000), CHUFTY ($90,593.25), and later Durrr.

I watched 50 hands and then left for about an hour and came back and the table was still active. So that is why there will be a large unexplained gap in the chip amount.

When I came back Mike Matusow had half the money that he had when I began watching. I went over the hand histories and there weren’t any large hands. There were tons of hands that were in the range of $4-$10k but really nothing higher. Overall it was a high stakes game without “really” high stakes.

Chip Totals:

  • SteveSung ($0), is sitting out
  • Sassi ($16,989.50)
  • Mike Matusow ($30,871.50)
  • Hoss_TBF ($22,344.05)
  • durrrr ($47,581)
  • CHUFTY ($107,224)
