Phil Ivey Plays Limit Omaha H/L

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Phil Ivey - Full Tilt Poker.netI started to watch the poker game pretty very late and only saw a couple hands. Phil Ivey was playing $1000/$2000 Limit Omaha H/L against CryMeARiver8 and Jew anda. When I first came to the game Phil Ivey beat Jew anda and won a pot of $14,999. Phil Ivey had a straight while Jew anda mucked his hand.

The next notable hand in the game was when CryMeARiver8 played against Jew anda and beat him with an ace high straight against Jew anda’s pair of 4’s. The hand was worth $15,241.50.

Qrippoli, Daduv4 and CryMeARiver8 High Stakes Action

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

The $1000/$2000 Limit Omaha H/L game was busy tonight with Qrippoli,($51,156) Daduv4 ($94,906.50) and CryMeARiver8 ($32,994.50) playing.

When I started watching CryMeARiver8 took a nose dive going from $33k down to $9k and then over 10 hands he built his stack back up to $20k. It didn’t last long though…The next hand he loses an $18k pot to Daduv4 who won with a 3 of a kind queens. Then the very next hand he loses a pot to Qrippoli this time it was a $20.5k pot, folding on the river with $8k already invested in the hand. CryMeARiver8 then left the game after suffering huge loses and with only $2k.

After CryMeARiver8 left the action slowed down a lot and in 15 hands only one hand was over $10k. It was a folding fest with one player raising and the other folding. I stopped watching at this point so something may have gone down but I wasn’t there to report on it.

Gus Hansen Plays Against Benyamine and CryMeARiver8

Friday, September 7th, 2007

Gus Hansen Full Tilt Poker.net ProGus Hansen played in a $1000/$2000 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo game against David Benyamine and CryMeARiver8. When I started observing he had $59.4k while David Benyamine had $106.2k and CryMeARiver8 had $17.5 in money at the table. Gus Hansen did something that was a simple strategy but I haven’t seen many people pro’s or any players for that matter do it. He left the table with $59.4k and came back with $20k. That means he cashed in $29.4k and kept playing which limited his losses at the table. After a bit of time Qrippoli sat down and joined the game and bought in for 20k.

Gus Hansen was multi-tabling during the session and was also playing in two $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi games. When I checked he had 12k and 8k at the other tables. In both of the games he was playing six handed. In one of the Omaha Hi tables both David Benyamine and CryMeARiver8 were also sitting at the table.

He bought in twice more at the $1000/$2000 but did quite well at the other tables. At the time of this post he has $22k and $47k.
