Phil Ivey vs Ziigmund $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Phil Ivey - FullTilt Poker.comPhil Ivey ($282,487.50) played heads up against Ziigmund ($124,499) in a $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi game at FullTilt Poker.com. This game was definitely high stakes with each having over $100k and Phil Ivey not messing around with over a quarter million dollars at the table.

At times it was hard to pick the better hands because they weren’t going past the flop and the hands were averaging $12k.

One hand in particular that was insane was a hand that was worth $125,999.50.  Ziigmund started the hand with a raise which Phil Ivey then re-raised. After the flop Ivey bet $14k which was called by Ziigmund.  After the turn Phil Ivey bet $40k which Ziigmund used time and eventually went over the top all-in. Phil Ivey then used time before his call but eventually folded the hand…the board showed: [3h 5s 9d Ad].

The match ended with the biggest hand I have ever written about…Phil Ivey lost with a king high straight against Ziigmund’s Ace high straight. The pot was worth $399,984.50. Phil Ivey sat out of the hand with the final chip counts: Seat  Phil Ivey ($153,464.75) and Ziigmund ($399,984.50)!

OMGClayAiken, Ziigmund Play No Limit Hold-em

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

OMGClayAiken ($62,102), Ziigmund ($84,786) played $200/$400 No Limit Hold-em at the Full Tilt “canfield” table with 4 other players 40putts ($9,200), Pokerface McGee ($42,400), LucLongley ($44,597) and Urindanger ($46,594).

The forth hand I watched was a $15k hand where Urindanger (awesome name) took down a pot with QQ against Ziigmund who had 7,8. The board had a A on the flop and didn’t scare Urindanger who called a raise by Ziigmund after the flop. Ziigmund was taking a stab at the pot with middle pair. Urindanger then won a $38k hand when his AK beat 9,8 after he got an Ace on the turn.

When I left the table the chip count was:

Seat 1: 40putts ($8,595.50)
Seat 2: PeachyK33N ($40,000), is sitting out
Seat 3: Ziigmund ($79,327)
Seat 4: OMGClayAiken ($59,899)
Seat 5: LucLongley ($51,591)
Seat 6: Urindanger ($75,332)

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

Ziigmund ($111,306.90) played heads up $300/$600 NL Hold-em against p_c4Libr4ted ($86,493.50).

The first 30 hands the high stakes NL Hold-em game was going slow. There was one hand that was around $10k everything else was below $3k. Until a massive hand was played where Ziigmund won a $180,182.50 with an ace high flush. This did not stop p_c4Libr4ted who re-bought after the hand and added $60k to the table.

The game ended when Ziigmund left and had over $200k while p_c had about $90k.

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Gus Hansen ($32,597), Ziigmund ($30,800) and David Benyamine ($16,599) played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi. A few more players joined the game including SheFalls, u2tilted2da and CaesyAtTheBat. The average pot was very high at $9,116 and 74 H/Hr.

There was a lot of action at the table and all three original players did well with the high stakes hands. When I stopped watching Hansen had $40k, Ziigmund $66k and Benyamine $34k.

Thomas Wahlroos Makes $60k in 5 minutes

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

Thomas Wahlroos ($30,368)  played $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi at Full Tilt Poker against  Ziigmund ($39,400), BlueWolff ($29,236),  jidenok ($23,673),  FinddaGrind ($112,833.50) and MrSmokey1 ($19,391).

Thomas Wahlroos was on fire when I watched him winning two large pots against Ziigmund. He won $76k when his three of a kind kings beat Ziigmund’s three of a kind jacks! He then won another $23k when his queen high flush beat Ziigmund’s jack high flush! Ziigmund was I am sure fuming at this point and kept buying in for the standard $40k.  Thomas Wahlroos took the money and ran… When I started watching he had a little over $30k and he left with ($91,518). I only watched him for a little over 5 mins…Talk about a payday!

Ziigmund on Fire Playing Pot Limit Omaha Hi

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

Ziigmund was having a great day from what I could tell. His chip stack was $211,255 when I began watching (He must have doubled or tripled up off someone earlier at the table) and he was adding to that by playing very well against David Benyamine.  He was playing at a $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi Table. More players came to the table after about 30 hands and they were DanDock21 and EatMyAssSucka.

After watching a little over 40 hands Ziigmund had built his chip stack up to $300k! When I stopped watching the table Ziigmund had $325k.

Phil Ivey and High Stakes Pot Limit Omaha Hi

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Phil IveyPhil Ivey was sitting at the table of two games of Pot Limit Omaha Hi. The tables were filled with high stakes players and many of the same players were playing on both tables including: sbrubgy, David Benyamine and Ziigmund. Phil Ivey was sitting out at the gladiator table most of the time while I was watching, but he was playing in the Pantheon table and had $106k.

Phil Ivey won a pot worth $48,794 when David Benyamine went all-in after the flop with a three of a kind and ended up losing to Ivey’s 8 high straight.

Ziigmund won large hands including a $91,591 pot from David Benyamine when his straight beat Benyamine’s 3 of a kind. ( I see a pattern with David Benyamine and losing to straight’s).

Midway through Phil Ivey ended up leaving the gladiator table never playing a hand so I stopped watching that table to focus on the Pantheon table.  This table now had iammagic and whatitdogirl playing.

When I left Phil Ivey had$63k after folding with a  $40k pot when David Benyamine went all-in for another $38k.

LarsLuzak, Zigimund and Niki Jedlicka High Stakes

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

LarsLuzak ($42,388.50) , Ziigmund ($40,000) and Niki Jedlicka ($48,399.50) played a high stakes game of Pot Limit Omaha Hi $200/$400 game. The stacks were enormous and while watching you would swear they were playing for play money the way some of the hands were going with one hand was over $200k and many pots over $80k! The average pot was $20k.

I originally reported on a bunch of $25-35k hands but soon deleted them as $80k hands became the norm. Ziigmund was raking in the money as he kept winning the huge hands and had over $270k! Where originally he bought in with only $40k…talk about having a good day at the poker table. Niki Jedlicka bought in twice for $40k after the original money she brought to the table. So she definitely lost more then 100k.

Gus Hansen Plays 200/400 Pot Limit Omaha

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Gus Hansen Full Tilt Poker.net ProGus Hansen($13,197) was at a table against David Benyamine ($10,732), KaiBuxxe ($7,800), Ziigmund ($75,590) and iammagic ($9,592). They were playing $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha Hi.

The first full hand I watch at the table turns out to be an all-in fest. With three players going all-in and another player calling it all. The players involved in the hand were: Gus Hansen, KaiBuxxe, Ziigmund and David Benyamine. Gus Hansen ended up winning the hand with three kings and took down the pot worth $44,926.

Gus Hansen with his newly acquired stack of $44k doesn’t sit around and watch. A couple hands later he plays in a hand worth $96,946! There were three players in the hand: Ziigmund, KaiBuxxe and of course Gus Hansen. Ziigmund won the side port worth $81k with three of a kind fives and KaiBuxxe won the main pot worth $15.8k with an ace high flush. Gus Hansen had a pair of aces, he then bought in with another 16k after losing the monster hand.

Gus Hansen then lost a hand worth around 8k. But then a couple hands later goes all-in with the 8k and doubles up back to his original 16k. Well it didn’t last long as Gus Hansen played in a hand against Ziigmund. The hand was worth $30,896 and Gus Hansen held two pair and lost against Ziigmund’s full house.
